Job Summary:

Belden is building an integrated supply chain organization in EMEA to support its different businesses. As we move forward with our ESD strategy of becoming a solution provider for our customers, we are integrating our purchasing and distribution teams into one single organization. The supply chain team maximizes the utilization of our European and global manufacturing footprint to achieve best in class service levels for our wide range of customers. The Supply chain controller is a key business partner of the EMEA supply chain team, and gives visibility over the freight and distribution costs in Europe, helps understand our purchase price evolutions and supports our growth and improvement projects.

Responsibilities:

  • prepare the consolidated EMEA supply chain cost report
  • control the Distribution costs for the Venlo and Neckartenzlingen DCs. Support month end activities. Review actual and forecast costs with the DC Managers and VP Supply chain EMEA
  • report and forecast the freight costs across the businesses and work with the transportation managers on understanding our inbound and outbound freight costs developments
  • support the supply chain team on projects and capex investments decisions
  • Analyse the purchase price variance of our businesses, and work with the purchasing organization to understand and manage price evolutions
  • backup the Venlo plant controller for daily jobs during absenteeism

integration of finance and demand planning forecasts (SIOP)

Required Skills and Experience

  • degree in economics or a comparable degree with a focus on finance / controlling
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in controlling.
  • hands on accounting experience - Good written and spoken English and Dutch skills
  • strong analytical skills as well as conceptual thinking with a track record of using these skills to deliver insight, decision support andaccurate forecasting
  • Result oriented and motivated.
  • experience with SOX and US-GAAP processes are a plus but not essential
