A postdoctoral research fellow position is available at the Tulane University Center for Sport (TUCfS) to advance research studies on the health consequences of sports participation. We are seeking a highly motivated scientist with interests in Neurosciences, specifically mild Traumatic Brain Injury.
Working under the supervision of TUCfS Faculty Directors, the Postdoctoral Fellow will be an integral team member and will assist with high-level, complex research. The Fellow will have the opportunity to interact with research collaborators within other Tulane University departments and at other institutions across the U.S., and other countries around the world.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in epidemiology or biostatistics.

In addition to the mentored research projects, the postdoctoral fellow will be expected to present their research at national scientific conferences, prepare and publish manuscripts, pursue additional training/professional development through internal and external courses or workshops, and develop their grant writing skills.
The position will be for an initial 1-year with opportunity for renewal for up to 2 additional years. Competitive annual salary (NIH-level minimum will be ensured) and benefits are provided. Additional funding is available for conference travel/presentations. Applicants must have completed a PhD, DrPH, or ScD degree (or a MD, DO, or other equivalent doctoral degree with a research-oriented Master’s degree) in epidemiology, biostatistics, kinesiology/sports medicine, or other related quantitative fields. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, writing, and organizational skills, be prepared to work collaboratively within a diverse team of researchers.
