Description

The Tulane Center for Biomedical Informatics and Genomics is hiring a postdoc in bioinformatics. The main duties of the postdoc are to develop new algorithms, machine learning models, and software tools for mass spectrometry-based proteomics studies, especially top-down proteomics. The postdoc will collaborate with other researchers to apply the software tools to carry out proteomics studies of biological samples. The postdoc will also be involved in the implementation of research plans, development of research methods, and analysis of mass spectrometry data. 

The postdoc will work in Dr. Xiaowen Liu's lab (https://www.liuxlab.org). Dr. Liu is an expert in computational proteomics and has published more than 60 papers in this area. 

Qualifications

1. A Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computer science, or other related areas.

2. Publications in the field of biostatistics and bioinformatics research.
