Overview

The Jr Aggies Academy Caregiver position will consist of engaging children in learning and play activities. Time will be spent among the children, playing and providing learning opportunities and help with language development. The Child Caregiver will also provide for children's everyday needs such as, feeding, cleaning and helping with rest times. These positions are on the Blanding campus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing a weekly lesson plan for assigned age group with developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Engage children in learning and play activities.
  • Read a minimum of one book with children daily.
  • Display children's work on the wall.
  • Provide one motor/movement activity in the morning
  • Monitor the whereabouts of each child continually.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years old
  • Requires reading, communication, math and problem solving skills equivalent to a high school education or GED
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to balance needs of children of varying age groups simultaneously
  • Ability to follow all safety and health rules while supervising children at all times
  • Ability to keep the environment safe, clean, and attractive
  • Must be able to understand and maintain confidentiality

Advertised Salary

$10.00-$15.00 Commensurate on Education & Experience

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. This position requires moderate physical activity, including the handling of objects up to 25 pounds and/or standing or walking more than one hour per day.
