Scope of Position
The Spa and Fitness Attendant ensures a smooth and efficient operation in maintaining the overall cleanliness, sanitation and orderliness of the Spa & Wellness area according to Mandarin Oriental quality standards and protocols while maintaining relations of quality, service, guest experience and discretion, fully focused towards guest delight.
Responsibilities
- Check, clean and set up all spa and fitness premises according to Mandarin Oriental standards
- Ensure the replenishment of all necessary consumables, items, supplies and ensure that all furniture, fixtures and equipment are well maintained and in perfect working condition
- Report any breakage, damage & loss to the Spa management and notify concerned Colleague/s concerning the need for repairs/ fix or additions to spa operations
- Operate equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties and follow procedures for the use of any equipment according to specifications
- Request, collect stock and supplies in accordance with par stock levels
- Maintain all departmental assets and ensure that all items are cleaned, checked out, and returned to the appropriate storage area
- Ensure spa security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors/access after cleaning hours or checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created
- Ensure the shift checklist is completed; stay current with developments in the hotel/ spa operations by reviewing the communication log book each shift; update log book for next shift
- Inform the Spa management team of all pertinent information related to the department and report any concerns as they occur along with recommendations for solutions
- Notify Manager or concerned colleague/department of all unusual events and circumstances
- Maintain familiarity with all spa and fitness operating procedures and attend necessary trainings, workshops etc. for self-development
- Maintain spa knowledge and awareness with ongoing spa promotions and activities to be able to assist when approached by Guests
- Maintain full awareness and adherence of all health and safety/ hygiene control and regulations including chemicals/solutions used at work
- Maintain overall health/sanitation, and safety standards in work areas
- Maintain awareness and ability to act or respond in any emergency (drill or real) while ensuring Guests safety
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed; maintain close coordination with the entire Spa team members in fulfilling great customer service
- Comply with all company policies and procedures and exhibit a professional demeanour and willingness to assist guests and colleagues
- Ensure presence in the spa area, interact and receive feedback from guests on daily basis; handle guest inquiries, concerns and communicate to the team accordingly
- Help the spa reception in their day to day operation as required
- Perform all other duties as directed by management
