How you'll make an impact:

As a key member of the Digital Experience team, the Senior Web Developer will build user-centric web apps and sites that reach millions of users a month. Your collaboration and influence as you work closely with our design, product and backend teams will make sure we are delivering the highest quality code, user experience and performance to siriusxm.com and related web apps and sites.

What you'll do:

As a key member of Digital experience team, the Senior Web Developer will involve building single-page application components using React, Next.js, and TypeScript based on design files and product requirements. You will serve as a champion for user experience standards set by our UX teammates. Following industry best practices and company conventions for maintainable site code, you will contribute to making the web accessible for everyone. You will review teammates' work, provide constructive feedback for improvements, and collaborate closely with product owners, marketing and analytics professionals.

• Show enthusiasm and a sense of ownership for the system and its components that are vital to the success of the business.
• Interpret business requirements and accurately reflect these requirements in the design. Be able to work with requirements in various forms including BRD/FRD, user-stories, annotated wireframes, working prototypes etc.
• Work closely with product owners, UX designers, analysts and QA staff on the full-SDLC team to quickly identify solution options, build rapid prototypes, ensure agreement on proposed solutions etc.
• Ensure designs are consistent with the existing architecture and are vetted by the architecture team.
• Follow high level of standards across all levels of design work.
• Contribute to the specification and transition to development of unit, system, integration, stress and user acceptance testing.
• Design to performance requirements in an effort to ensure that all applicationsare highly scalable and can support high volumes of traffic.
• Recommend and promote new technologies and best practices to enable us to better support our customers.
• Take ownership in the goals of the DE team and work collaboratively with product owners, technical leads, EA and rest of the team to recommend solutions that will have a positive impact.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of assignments

Technical Skills:

• 4+ years of strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript
• 4+ years of experience with core web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, SASS/SCSS, JavaScript (ES6+), AJAX, REST, JSON, and XML
• Experience with Next.js is a plus
• 2 + years of experience with Git
• Understanding of atomic design and ability to create self-contained reusable React components
• Core Java, Spring experience is a plus
• Experience with content management system. Contentful is a plus
• Experience with large scale, high volume web-based applications
