Overview:
We are seeking applications for the position of “Manager CDZ Operations”. The incumbent will be required to lead the operations by strong communication among the stakeholders, KPI maintenance, ensure timely billing, maintaining data, conduct hearing with customs etc.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Strong coordination with vendors, carriers, forwarders and relevant suppliers related to custom clearance of shipments.
- Develops overall growth strategy and steers customs business, including product development and strategic focus.
- Liaises with Sales on Sales activities and provides pricing and margin guidance, support on bids, RFQs and customer presentations .
- Attending meeting on behalf of DHL to resolve complains & issues faced by customer.
- Attending meeting with customs, vendors and other suppliers to resolve issues.
- Develops & promotes global and regional brokerage solutions.
- Provides Customs Product input to key country business decisions and programs.
- Sets compliance standards and monitors adherence.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 6-8 years of relevant working experience in custom clearance at a multinational or renowned local logistics company.
- Master’s degree is preferred in related field.
- Thorough knowledge of logistics & freight forwarding business and understanding of Product offering & compliant with industry norms.
- Sound knowledge of custom clearance practices and buying procedures.
- Must have good management, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong command over Microsoft Office and other related software.
