Would you like to be part of DHL IT Services? Our Cloud Container Platform team is looking for a new colleague!

As a Principal Kubernetes Architect, you are the GURU (expert) in the field. You will act as a Product Manager of the services, speak to the business to align, and gather with their requirements. You are also expected to provide a high-level proposal for the structure of the services and work closely with the infrastructure engineering team for further implementation. On top of that, you will manage a small team consisting of internal and external members.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Act as a Principal Architect and Team Manager for Kubernetes and Kafka team
• Build & Run Kubernetes and Kafka cloud services provided by IT Services to internal business partners in public cloud including Azure/Google, etc.
• Define the architecture requirements; liaise with the business to create viable specifications and to identify any area of improvement in any aspect of the enterprise (business & technical architecture).
• Product ownership to consult, enhance and promote developed cloud services to internal business users, maintain a roadmap and ensure their delivery
• Establish strong and lasting relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers in business partner organizations
• Collaborate with different platform teams and cross function areas within DHL IT Services during a new cloud service introduction.
• Cooperate with cloud providers on a service run
• Work in a tightly knit, highly skilled, motivated, and globally spread team of unique IT professionals on the mission to bring DHL Group to the cloud.
• We emphasize teamwork hence provide advice and guidance to junior colleagues is a must.

APPLICATION YOU WILL USE

• Azure/ Google/Oracle/AWS Kubernetes platforms
• Surrounding PaaS services used to deliver Kubernetes platform e.g. Key Vault, Storage, monitoring, etc.
• Confluent Kafka SaaS solution
• Public Cloud networking, security
• Terraform, scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE

• 7+ years of experience with Cloud solutions, platforms, and technologies, specifically in the Azure/Google area. Experience with Oracle/AWS cloud is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services focus on Kubernetes and Kafka platforms, with PaaS experience as a plus.
• Experience managing globally distributed teams.
• Extensive knowledge of Azure and Google implementation in large enterprise companies, including cloud network architecture and security.
• Strong creative problem-solving skills and ability to work conceptually.
• Scripting skills in Terraform, Bash or PowerShell are highly advantageous.
• Experience in senior stakeholder management, with strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proven experience in project / risk management, as well as financial management (budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning) for public cloud services.
• Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills, with the ability to work highly self-managed.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and distributed team environment.
• Demonstrated judgment and problem-solving abilities.
