Job Description

Summary

Provide complex technical support to customers, Field Service Technicians, Sales Representatives and OEMs via email, phone or other methods. Service customers (internal and external) with sales activities, including price quotations, order entry, returns and availability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Answers application and service-related questions using troubleshooting methods derived from experience and knowledge of company systems.
  • Responsible for achieving technical supports quality and productivity measurements.
  • Interaction with Research and Development, Manufacturing and Quality Control to relay problems and offer possible solutions.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding delivery, literature requests, etc. ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to travel with short notice.
  • Enter orders received via mail, fax, phone or email.
  • Verify shipping and billing information on purchase orders
  • Initiate and/or process return authorization for incorrect material ordered, shipped or received.
  • Furnish customers with written quotations on products
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Participate actively in the quality process including project team involvement, problem solving, corrective and preventive actions and recommending solutions to enhance and improve the quality of departmental and/or company-wide business activities.

Education and/or Experience 

Requires vocational or technical certificate in related field and at a minimum of 8 years of directly related experience.
