The Small Business & Self Employed Group (“SBSEG”) is Intuit’s largest business unit with $8B in revenue, serving 7M+ customers with the QuickBooks line of products including accounting, payments, payroll, capital lending and banking. The US SBSEG Finance team is critical in driving business growth and profitability through strategic, financial and operational leadership.

The Finance Director for the Sales and Mid Market team will be a key member of the SBSEG Finance leadership team and will partner closely with the Senior VP of Sales and Mid Market as part of his staff to drive Intuit’s growth.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidate must have:

  • 10+ years FP&A experience or equivalent tenure from related positions in corporate finance, accounting, investment banking private equity, analytics, or management consulting
  • Demonstrated experience leading high performing teams, ideally in high-growth software / SaaS environments; experience in Sales Finance is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to partner with senior executives, influence stakeholders using data, and collaborate in an inclusive culture
  • Analytical orientation, creativity in problem solving, and keen business acumen
  • Grace under pressure with a good sense of humor and dose of humility
  • Ability to work independently, deal with ambiguity, operate in a cross-functional matrixed organization, and meet deadlines in a high-growth environment focused on driving business results
  • Self-starter with a desire to quickly learn and excel; willing and able to initiate, manage, and execute projects with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide strategic guidance and thought partnership to Sales, Marketing and Product executives to define strategy to best serve Mid Market businesses and deliver on our growth goals
  • Partner with the Sales and Analytics teams to develop and monitor key performance indicators driving insights into Sales productivity and enabling data-backed investment decisions
  • Anticipate risks and opportunities relative to the current and long term strategic plan; lead discussions and develop actions to mitigate these risks and capitalize on growth opportunities within the various addressable markets
  • Translate business strategies and objectives to financial outcomes by developing trust with executives, engaging in constructive debate, and partnering with peer leaders, other business divisions, and across other finance functions (e.g., accounting, internal audit, finance operations)
  • Recruit, mentor and coach a high performing team that continually analyzes the operating results of the business to provide insightful recommendations that accelerate growth; ensure members have the resources, tools, skills, and capabilities they require to be exceptional finance business partners
