Main purpose of job

  • Responsible to ensure prompt and accurate responses to customer for Parts, Service and technical enquiries
  • Responsible to promote and support AFM(Aftermarket, CPI) sales activities liaising directly with customers & Inside sales engineers.
  • Support the sales and project execution of all Howden brands in PCOG(Petrochemical, Oil & Gas) & Industrial market by preparing drawings when required and liaising with local suppliers

Accountabilities

1. Achieve the annual AFM(CPI) bookings, sales and margin budget by:

Proactively administering the aftermarket parts sales process, from enquiry through to customer order:

  • Evaluation of customer technical and commercial requirements to ensure correct supply of equipment
  • Ensure spare parts quotations are processed within clients required timescales
  • Obtain / request necessary drawings if required in the quotation process
  • Keep CRM up-to-date and maintain the data as accurate as possible
  • Liaise with customers to negotiate initial contract terms and conditions
  • Make sure customer order reflects the agreed terms in Howden’s quote

Developing sound relationships with customers and suppliers

2. Customer communication

  • Updating customer contact list in CRM and in the ERP system
  • Confirming customers product and maintenance details
  • Pro-active communication of maintenance requirements and special campaigns
  • Follow up open opportunities as required

3. Administrative diligence – accurately and efficiently in a timely manner prepare required documents and seek to continuously improve office procedures

4. Liaise with PBU (Product Business Units) in order to start transferring PBUs knowledge and being a backup instead of PBU sales or technical team in local.

Skills, knowledge & behaviours

Essential skills, knowledge & behaviours

  • Engineering Degree in relevant fields
  • Understanding of rotary equipment (Reciprocating Compressors) and process application, especially PCOG & Industrial markets
  • Minimum 2 year experience working on Aftermarket department
  • Intermediate level of English as over 700 grade in TOEIC
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal): must be able to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization with tact and diplomacy with a high level of cultural sensitivity
  • Ability to interpret financial data and perform accurate pricing calculations (pricing, margins, exchange rates)
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, set priorities, and work both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure while keeping a positive and result- driven attitude
  • Negotiation skills • High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain high level of accuracy
  • High level of PC literacy, especially MS Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer
  • Understanding of rotary equipment (fans, compressors) and process application
