About the role:

BSI EHS Services and Solutions is hiring a Safety Health and Environment Professional to support the Safety Health and Environment (SHE) department at a client site in Gaithersburg, MD. This is a full-time position with benefits, located at a biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility.

EHS Specialist Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Safety Committee Meetings
• Implement Risk Assessments and Safety Inspection
• Incident Response, Investigations, and Root Cause Analysis
• CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) task management in Data Management System
• SDS Management Systems
• Internal Communications
• Bulletins and Notifications
• One Point Lessons
• Safety Cascade Presentations and Training
• Chemical Inventory and Waste Management
• Other Duties as Requested

Education/Qualifications:

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) required
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Safety, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in related Safety, Health, and Environmental specialty
• Lab experience strongly preferred
• Experience with emergency response program development and implementation
• Process safety
• Highly detailed, strong and organized safety engineer with excellent writing skills who can conduct gap assessments and write SOP
• 3 years of Biopharmaceutical/biotech industry experience required

What we offer:

The salary for this position can range from $90,000 - $123,860 annually; actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's competencies, level of experience, education, location, divisional budget and internal peer compensation comparisons.
