As part of our continuing growth in this high technology market, Teledyne DALSA is recruiting for a CMOS Sensor Product Support in Waterloo !

The CMOS Sensor Product Support is responsible for providing technical support to internal design teams who interface with our sensors. There will be additional responsibilities to assist in characterization of the sensor during the silicon TRR phase of the project.

Detailed Description:

The successful candidate will work in a team environment to evaluate, debug, and support innovative IC products, from design through to production, for use in a wide variety of high performance applications in Machine Vision, Aerospace, Life Sciences, and Defense & Security. The team has a particular focus on Advanced Linescan and Global Shutter technologies for imaging at a variety of wavelength ranges from the UV through to LWIR. 

Primary responsibilities will consist of the following:

  • Provide support to internal design and manufacturing teams for integration of R&D qualified CMOS sensors
  • Support characterization of CMOS image sensor performance and prepare characterization reports.
  • Analyze test data, perform root cause analysis of device failures, define solutions, and trade-offs.
  • Recommend improvements to device structure based on characterization data.
  • Identify and resolve device performance issues promptly.
  • Present test results in accurate and clear manner.
  • Provide updates to user documentation.

Requirements:

Enter Required and Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum: BASc in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • Ability to understand circuit elements used in image sensors such as ADCs, PLLs, bandgaps, etc.
  • Familiarity with image sensors and image sensor evaluation.
  • Experience with optical and electronic lab equipment (light sources, oscilloscopes, etc.)
