The Role of Assistant Engineering Manager:

We currently have an opportunity for an Assistant Engineering Manager to join our team! This role reports to the Assistant Director of Engineering, and will be responsible for assisting the Assistant Director of Engineering in all aspects of the hotel and building maintenance; including electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, heating/cooling, painting, carpentry, structural, recycling, ground care, parking areas, fire and safety. Additionally, responsible for ensuring that all inquiries are responded to in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to deliver the highest of standards consistently and to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests and employees. Responsibilities will include:

• Directly supervise staff in carrying out work schedules as well as spot checking to verify quality and employee performance.
• Ensures timely and accurate sub meter, chemical treatment and engine room logs.
• Ensures that all meter readings on heat, light and power are taken on a daily basis and reviewed for consumption.
• Assists in compiling a monthly consumption report on heat, light and power to include electricity, gas, steam and water,
• Ensures effective communication and good relations between the maintenance department and other departments in the Residence Club.
• Support the Safety Committee and the energy conservation program.
• Assist with any task related to the department, or assigned by the Assistant Director of Engineering and/or the Director of Engineering.
