Day in the Life of a Senior Verification & Validation Engineer

Fluke in Poland is growing - we are setting up a new R&D team in Wroclaw to deliver our newest products. This is a rare opportunity to build a new team within the already established environment.

The Senior Validation and Verification Engineer will be analyzing product requirements, crafting test plans, designing test setups, and creating test automation software to verify Fluke's products, ensuring they are fully functional and exceed our customers’ expectations.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated verification systems for each assigned product to ensure complete and robust test coverage.
• Review, mentor, and guide engineers during the creation of the product requirements ensuring that they meet the key validation criteria of complete, objective, and testable.
• Build and create test plans/cases for black box testing according to product requirements and project schedule with execution toward quality and delivery.
• Find opportunities for process improvement and drive execution of the ideas.
• Coordinate actions with other functions/departments to get the results needed by supporting the project.
• Be an integrated project member in the hardware/software development processes from initial business requirements to deployment, production, and service support.

Your Team

You will be part of a global engineering organization with team members in Europe, North America, and Asia. You will be working with other engineers: HW Engineers, SW Engineers, ME Engineers, and V&V Engineers.

Experience:

• BS in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• Skills of the ideal candidate should cover two aspects: Hardware and Software, however if strong in a single area still can be a valuable contributor to the V&V team:

Hardware-related skills:

• understanding product’s functions and parameters from an electronics point of view,
• experience with hardware development processes,
• understanding of electronic hardware principles, circuits, troubleshooting,
• Use of equipment for DC, LF, and RF measurements.

Software-related skills:

• Experience with Agile Software development,
• Programming skills for test automation, hands-on experience with Python or Squish,
• Understanding product features from the user’s perspective.
• Knowledge of verification and validation process, test strategies, requirements management,
• Ability to learn new programming concepts, languages, and best practices.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and use good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Alternatively, experience in production testing of electronics, knowledge of production test systems, and experience in test sequence creation with LabView or Test Stand.
