We are seeking an experienced Networking and Cloud Architect to join the JFrog CTO office. As a Networking and Cloud Architect, you will join a group of Architects providing technical leadership and building next-generation modern software development lifecycle (SDLC) solutions for JFrog customers. This role involves defining system architecture and integrating with all major cloud providers. You will ork with JFrog Enterprise customers and lead researching technical innovations, and Engage in POCs to assess technical risk. You should have a "can do" attitude and be able to collaborate with your team as equals..

As a Networking and Cloud Architect at JFrog you will..

  • Define architectural approaches and detailed technical engineering specifications for development and production infrastructure and tools
  • Help design, implement, debug, and maintain the company's network and cloud infrastructure
  • Ensure that the company's cloud environment and network are secure and reliable using cloud engineering and cloud native principles and practices definitions including design and review solutions
  • Develop architectural PoCs and evaluate new technologies and tools
  • Work with R&D, DevOps, and Production teams to guide and review projects related to development and production networking infrastructure
  • Help identify bottlenecks in all infrastructure-related areas
  • Work with JFrog Support and customers to review and consult on any networking-related topics
  • Review code and perform acceptance testing to ensure quality and consistency with architectural vision
  • Tutor and mentor other engineers about networking-related topics

To be a Networking and Cloud Architect at JFrog you need..

  • 5+ years of experience with complex, high-performance distributed systems in production (infrastructure and networking)
  • 5+ years of hands-on programming experience in languages such as Python, Shell, Java, Go, and others
  • 2+ years of hands-on technical leadership experience as a Principal Engineer or Technical Lead role
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of computer networks and communication protocols (HTTP/S, TCP, GRPC etc.) on the cloud and on-premise
  • Deep understanding of cloud and cloud-native principles and practices
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Cloud environments - AWS, GCP, Azure
  • Containers and Kubernetes
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting network performance
  • Networking knowledge
  • Configure, deploy and manage routers, switches & firewalls
  • Configure and manage a VPN
  • Deep understanding of network protocols, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP
  • Setup and manage L2 and L3 Corporate networks, VLANS, Routing, and ACL’s
  • Familiarity with:
  • Configuration management tools - Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet
  • Web/Application servers - Nginx, HAProxy, Apache, Tomcat
  • JVM and Golang runtimes
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
