TEAM

The Toyota Woven City is a fully connected ecosystem powered by hydrogen fuel cells to be built at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan. Envisioned as a ‘living laboratory’, the Woven City will serve as a home to full-time residents and researchers who will be able to test and develop technologies such as robotics, personal mobility, smart homes and artificial intelligence in a real-world environment. Woven City will be ‘ever-evolving’, incorporating various types of cutting-edge technologies. It is also ‘human-centric,’ and expected to keep people safe and comfortable.

Woven City’s R&D team will develop innovative products and services using technologies developed by Toyota Motor Corporation. Our mission is to:

1. Develop services and products for Woven City

2. Expand capabilities through long-term R&D

Toyota Motor Corporation has been involved in a variety of technological development in the robotics, energy, and automotive domains for a long time. Our team will leverage Toyota’s hardware expertise in these fields to create new value by developing software on top of this.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a technical program manager with a passion about program promotion for the Woven City energy aggregation system demonstration and expansion into business. With hands-on experiences and knowledge about scenario planning and development roadmap of enterprise software systems, you are expected to lead the development to maximize the value of the program. You are also expected to build alignment with stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define a development roadmap across the energy software suite based on a high-level strategy.
  • Build SDLC, KPI management and DevOps process for the energy software suite.
  • Integrally manage development requirements (functional and non-functional requirements) for the energy software suite.
  • Manage development risk, IP and confidential technology.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, several service teams and third parties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Energy Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience as a project manager for projects more than one-digit billion yen and consisting of 3+ development projects.
  • Experience and knowledge in definition of architectures and nonfunctional requirements.
  • Experience in software developments through collaboration with stakeholders and relevant divisions.
  • Proficiency in business level Japanese and English (able to conduct technical discussions and create documentations).

  • 1桁億円以上かつ3つ以上の開発プロジェクトで構成されたプログラムマネジャーの経験
  • ソフトウェアのアーキテクチャおよび非機能要件定義の経験
  • ステークホルダーや関連部門とのコラボを通じてシステム開発を主導した経験
  • 日本語と英語での技術的な議論や文書作成のスキル

NICE TO HAVES:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Energy Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in software developments and operations for the community infrastructure. 
  • Experience in business planning or start-up company management using software products and solutions.
  • Experience and knowledge in DevOps performance evaluations.
