We are looking for you! We are currently hiring a forward-thinking and results-oriented Software Engineer - Salesforce (f/m/d). This position is based in our Frankfurt office.

Technology plays a crucial role in the success of our business at Allianz Global Investors. We are implementing a series of global change initiatives to boost our investment technology platforms and empower our investment teams. In this context, we are searching for a Software Engineer for our IT Investment & Operations team to further develop our Research Systems for our Investment Platform.

We are looking for an inspiring client-centric IT professional with a good understanding of technology infrastructure and investment processes. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and providing support for software solutions utilizing a diverse range of technologies. Prior exposure to Salesforce technology or any other Enterprise Social Network platform, preferably in an international project-driven environment, would be advantageous.

You will contribute to the efficiency, productivity, and success of Allianz Global Investors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain full-stack solutions for Allianz Global Investors’ Investment Research & Social Network system
• Support the operations of the solutions for the Investment Research value chain
• To further develop and improve our investment platform - covering the whole value chain from backend, Data Science to Frontend implementation
• Maintain current Salesforce solution and prepare for system migration towards a new Enterprise Research solution
• Collaborate closely with Investment professionals, data, and technology teams, to understand their challenges and goals
• Capture business and data requirements from Investment and Portfolio Management Teams
• Design and deliver efficient technology solutions that meet non-functional and regulatory requirements, collaborating with support units and teams
• Act as a technology business partner for investment and serve as a third-level IT specialist for Investment Research & Front Office Systems
• Drive forward innovation and digitization initiatives

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience:

• University degree in IT, Engineering, or related field of study
• Skilled in technical analysis and general-purpose programming languages (e.g., Python, C#)
• Proficiency in SQL database development, ensuring data integrity and performance
• Experience using Angular or other similar frameworks
• Familiarity with SDLC tools (Visual Studio Code, Jira, GitHub)
• Proficiency in English required, further languages would be highly helpful

Preferred:

• Experience in Salesforce software development (APEX, SOQL, SOSL, Data Loader, Lightning Web Component)
• Background in Salesforce data integration solutions and API’s (SF Connect)
• Additional experience with other Enterprises Research & Social Network Solutions
• Exposure to AWS or Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Server, Databricks
• Experience managing ETL workflows
