Proposal Project Manager

Join our game-changing Global Proposal team

You will work out of our office in Cologne, Germany and your reporting manager will be the Program Manager for Central Europe. You will collaborate closely with the Global Proposal team, led by the Proposal Program Manager and together you will ensure successful delivery of proposals for our Defence customers.

Instrumental and global role with impact

As a Proposal Project Manager, you will be at the forefront of our proposal projects, shaping business ideas and engaging with customers right from the start. You will deliver winning offers that provide the best C4I solutions available on the market. You will also have the chance to drive important negotiations with international primes and contribute to our global impact.

Your responsibilities and daily impact:

  • Responsible for all deliverables in proposals
  • Writing compelling project descriptions for proposals levering best practices
  • Managing, coordinating, and planning internal proposals contributions across the Defence Service organisation
  • Estimating the scope of services and deliverables for each proposal and create project schedules
  • First point of contact towards customers showcasing your expertise and answering requirements in proposals
  • Ensuring compliance with price and quality standards set by Executive Management
  • Participating in early capture phases for projects, shaping ideas and engaging with customers
  • Developing and maintaining standard proposal libraries and best practice
  • Developing optimal project delivery models and effectively communicating them to customers and internal stakeholders

To be successful in the role you will bring 2-3 years of experience within project management/IT project delivery combined with experience in business development and proposal creation. In this role, superior German and English language skills are a must.

We are also on the lookout for:

  • An educational background within IT or other relevant degree – preferably a Master’s degree
  • Project management (PMP/PMI or Prince2), ITIL certification and experience working with Scrum
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Confident and skilled in customer-facing activities
