The Team:

The Corporate actions and Securities processing segment sits within S&P Global Market Intelligence and is an industry leading provider of “end to end” Corporate actions solutions to global capital market firms with its unique product portfolio - a powerful combination of managed data services and enterprise technology solutions that help financial institutions across capital market segments to reduce risk, increase operational Efficiency and enhance client service quality by helping them streamline, optimize and automate their complex corporate actions operational workflow.

This segment also includes a Securities Processing solution, that helps universal banks and custodians, to redefine their post-trade technologies and processes to gain a competitive advantage. It enables replacement of multiple applications and discrete processes with a cloud platform and integrated post-trade framework, that automates and standardizes securities processing from end to end of the trade and settlement lifecycle, while transforming the client experience.

As Pre-Sales specialist, you will have responsibility for software pre-sales support of EMEA prospects and clients. The role also includes development and support for the EMEA sales team including the growth of S&P Global Corporate Action solutions. The role includes support for all solutions under the S&P Global Corporate Action umbrella including both data managed service and enterprise software solutions. The role will also look at building relationships with existing client, helping create new opportunities and business growth.

Along with Pre-sales responsibilities for our enterprise securities processing and corporate actions solutions within EMEA. You will work in conjunction with Sales teams focused on winning global projects. The role will entail Functional & Business Pre-Sales Consultancy, Solution Demos, Workshop Execution, RFX Coordination, POC Execution, Implementation team transition, Commercial proposal generation, System Integration & Data Analytics pre-sales consulting, and Customer Support.

The Impact:

As part of the EMEA pre-sales team, you will be part of a team responsible for contributing to pipeline growth, executing, and onboarding new client acquisitions and helping to ensure revenue targets and growth objectives for the business are met. This will also include helping to identify opportunities in existing strategic accounts where there are areas to expand our solutions and services and create net new upsell opportunities

Responsibilities:

  • You will have responsibility for overall pre-sales support of EMEA new business including RFP responses, client / prospect queries, proposal preparation, product demonstrations and workshops.
  • Travel to client sites to continue to strengthen the overall client relationship and support pre-sales initiatives.
  • Working with the EMEA Sales team, you will help to develop new business opportunities in amongst the “target market segment” for the Post Trade Securities processing and Corporate Actions division, communicating opportunities and challenges to management as well as providing local feedback to inform the product roadmap.
  • Candidate will work closely with both Product Management and the EMEA Business Development teams, as well as have strong support from leaders of all functional areas to achieve the regional goals.
  • Candidate will work with Product Management to help tailor product and technology offerings to better meet the needs of the target market segment.
  • Candidate will work with Product Management on high level solutions design, business case development and pricing for solutions aimed at the Target Market Segment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree minimum. Graduate degree in finance strongly preferred. 
  • Candidates will have 14+ years of experience in a Product consulting, Senior business analyst or preferably in a pre-sales role in a software sales environment with a proven track record of success 
  • Extensive experience in financial markets with a strong focus on operations and corporate actions 
  • Have the credibility and capability to work at the highest level within an organization to develop new business and relationships 
  • Excellent communication skills – listening, writing, speaking, are major pre-requisite 
  • Must be organized and with the ability to manage multiple clients in parallel whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail 
  • Ability to influence and partner across all cross-functional teams including but not limited to: Sales, Product, Marketing, and Operations 
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Full of initiative and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced business environment
  • Engaging and credible presence, particularly at executive levels
  • Strong problem-solving skills, Ability to find creative solutions to challenging situations or problems.
  • Open to travel
