Your responsibilities

Summary of Position: The SAP ABAP Team Lead is responsible for the development, implementation, and rollout of SAP ABAP development. Will work closely with the cross-functional teams to understand and implement their strategic initiatives and design development on time and with customer satisfaction.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Experience in planning, managing, and guiding the ABAP development team (onsite and offshore).
  • Guide the team on SAP S4 journey and develop NEW development standards for S4 ABAP team members.
  • Broad understanding of SAP software offerings, capabilities and implementation techniques.
  • Develop custom solutions using customized transactions and user exits to provide additional functionality not available within standard SAP.
  • Must be able to present ideas and technical solutions effectively to the team through presentations and communication.
  • Proficient in authoring technical specifications and documentation.
  • Proficient at writing technical specifications for required ABAP development objects.
  • Must be able to code and mentor application components to specifications using applicable technology standards.
  • Provides technical expertise to the development team and business analysts.
  • Ability to work independently under limited supervision or in a team environment.
  • Understand & Improve business processes.

Your profile

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate across the organization, up the organization, and to technical teams
  • 10+ years of SAP's ABAP/4 programming language and object-oriented programming, including at least two full SAP lifecycle experience.
  • Working in global systems, multiple teams including offshore.
  • Extensive experience in OO programming, Web Dynpro, BSP, MVC concepts.
  • Extensive experience with ABAP objects, Object Oriented Programming Concepts, reporting, user exits, BAPIs, BADIs, Function Modules, RFCs, SmartForms, ALE, Performance Tuning.
  • Experience with all RICEFW items: Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and SAP Business Workflow.
  • Experience in RFC’s, Business Add-ins, SAPscript, SmartForms, ADOBE forms, ABAP Objects, ABAP debugger, Runtime Analysis/Monitor, Coverage Analyzer, Code Inspector and Exception Handling
  • Experience in Data Interfaces (IDOCS, BDC, BADI, BAPI, BDT, BI).
  • Experience in the area of design, development, validation, trouble shooting, debugging, reports, testing, diagnostic software generation, and technical documentation creation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Metals industry, Variant configuration, access sequence and pricing condition.
  • SAP Certification is preferred.

Knowledge of SAP Finance &controlling, Sales & Distribution, Production Planning, Material Management and warehouse Management modules
