The department of Medicine, division of Infectious Diseases has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Post Doctoral Associate to work on the UHealth campus. The Post Doctoral Associate supports research activities for the assigned division by conducting laboratory experiments on assigned research projects. Moreover, the incumbent operates with the goal of advancing his/her expertise through continued education, training, and research. The Post Doctoral Associate will perform a variety of technical duties involved in conducting physical, chemical, biological and other research laboratory tests and experiments to obtain data for research purposes. This individual will conduct laboratory methods utilizing the latest methodologies in molecular and cell biology in support of sponsored research; review scientific journals, abstracts and other literature for information applicable to research experiments; and independently analyze data and publish on findings. The candidate is also expected to assist and contribute actively to the development and testing of new methodologies and technologies—including the design and execution of experiments and the independent evaluation of new equipment, reagents, and other collateral materials to make recommendations based on expertise and experimental results.
