Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, this position is responsible as the Point of Care Testing (POCT) Coordinator for proficiency testing and waived and non-waived testing. The incumbent will be required to have knowledge of point of care testing, review current methodologies and recommend new procedures, and will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring of the hospital wide POCT program, including training and competencies of non-laboratory personnel.
1. Bachelor' Degree in Health Sciences, Medical Technology or the equivalent is required.
2. Licensure by the State of California as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist is required. 3. A minimum of one year of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist is required.
4. Excellent people and organizational skills, and competency in the use of Excel and Word programs are required.
Pay Range ($47.83 – $66.97)
