About The Job:
This individual assists the physical therapists in the preparation of patients for treatment, provides certain physical therapy procedures to the patient, maintains physical therapy equipment in a clean and aesthetic manner and is responsible for written/verbal communications between the Therapy Services department and our customers.
What we are looking for:
Education [formal]:
Completion of a two-year college program (approved by American Physical Therapy Association) leading to Associate Degree in Physical Therapist.
Satisfactory passing of the State of Iowa Physical Therapist Assistant licensing Examination.
Compliance with the State of Iowa Physical Therapy Association Rules and Regulations Concerning licensure.
Obtain the COHC (Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist) credential as needed.
Experience:
None
Special Skills and Competencies:
Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintains current status.
Completes Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 3 years.
All offers are contingent upon the successful completion of references, background checks, pre-employment physical, drug screen and post offer exam.
