For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $240,000 - $260,000. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.

- Define and build R&D Software Development organization capable of meeting CSI business needs relative to life-cycle management and support of the existing CSI software-related products/services and the development of new SaaS and SaaP business offerings.
- Establish functional excellence and best practices by driving technical rigor, process discipline and agile development of SaaS and SaaP software as medical and non-medical device products.
- Co-develop and continuously refine CSI digital innovation strategy (securing buy-in from senior LTs) in close collaboration with Strategy Team, Commercial Operations & Businesses and IT.
- Partner with commercial leaders Worldwide to shape, optimize and drive strategic portfolio management of our digital solutions and services.
- Develop and own SaaS and SaaP software development and update roadmap in line with the digital innovation strategy and individual software value stream needs.
- Ensure that software development best practices, standards, architectural and security considerations are fully aligned and synchronized with internal IT partners and external guidelines and policies (global scope).
- Own and drive planning and execution of all software development commitments, on-time and on-budget.
- Drive an effective collaboration with other R&D teams including Innovation, Product Development and Product Engineering as well as related cross-functional teams to ensure an adequate resource and capability utilization and software-hardware integration, as applicable.
- Define, select, and build relationship with external software development strategic partners in synergy with the internal team capacity and capability needs.
- Drive world-wide software development compliance by ensuring that all applicable security, quality and regulatory guidelines and policies are followed to develop secure, safe and effective software-based business offerings across all geographical regions.
- Lead, oversee and/or contribute to milestones and other project or program reviews. Represent R&D in cross-functional reviews and meetings. Effectively communicate to business stakeholders at all levels.
- Assess technologies and intellectual properties of competitive products and/or acquisition targets in support of business growth strategies and related due diligence activities.
- Track record of successfully building and managing software development and deployment teams on business unit or larger scale.
- Expertise in Distributed Software System designs for complex applications.
- Experience in developing digital ecosystem strategies on an enterprise scale and corresponding technology roadmaps is highly desirable.
- Experience in both SaaS and SaaP software solutions and their implementation in medical device or related fields.
- An outcome focused mindset including process discipline and drive for timely project completion. Drive for standardization & best practices with ability to work in agile methodology framework.
- Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders ranging from project engineers, vendors and consultants to key opinion leaders and executives.
- Experience and proficiency with the leading coding languages, software packages and technology platforms such as: C, C++, C#, Python, .NET, JavaScript, Swift, Azure, AWS, GCP, Power Bi, TensorFlow, DevOps, Windows, iOS, Android and/or related.
- Occasional domestic and international travel (~ 10%)
- Hybrid work setting (office and remote)
- Minimum of 15 years (B.S.), 12 years (M.S) or 10 years (PhD)
- Minimum of 7 years of direct people management responsibility
- Minimum B.S. in Computer Science or related fields
