The Technical Program Manager will be responsible for project management and execution of our clients Network Transformation - Migration

  • Modernization projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in project management, as well as a good executional understanding of Network & Security technologies.

Responsibilities:

Delivery of network projects and transformations from inception to completion

Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets

Managing multiple projects in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and deadlines

Coordinate project activities across different teams and stakeholders

Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management

Ensure that project deliverables meet the quality standards and expectations of stakeholders

Ensure internal & external stakeholder management through effective communication

Identify and manage project risks and issues, and develop contingency plans as needed

Determine and define project scope and objectives.

Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner

Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget

Manage project change requests and ensure that they are properly evaluated and approved

Develop and maintain project documentation, including project charters, status reports, and project plans

Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution

Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that promotes creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement

Emails must be checked frequently (at least every 30 mins during business hours) either via Outlook or mobile device. Every Urgent email must be responded to immediately.

As project delivery always requires communication intact, there is a requirement to check and respond to urgent/critical emails and phone calls after hours as required

Organising and running project start-up activities such as internal/external kick off calls and handover sessions to assign technical resources. Follow through with project scope documents for approval/sign-off from customer project sponsor

Follow documented project completion processes to confirm customer satisfaction with deliverables, and prepare and send off/sign off documentation to proceed to closure of projects within internal systems Identifying, validating and assisting in the maintenance of the risk and issues registers

Working closely with technical leads on other knowledge domains

Undertake regular reviews to ensure that the assigned infrastructure is configured, installed, tested, and operational

Must be able to multitask efficiently and provide accurate, reliable, consistent end-to-end service

Required Experience:

Technical Skills -

Demonstrated ability of 10 years’ Technical Project / Program Management experience, from within the Telco / Systems Integration Industry on driving Network transformation projects of high complexity includes Datacentre Network & Security, Core WAN, SDWAN/SASE - Head office & Branch, Application Networking & Security, Wireless and Voice technologies.

Understand Network setups, upgrades and migration concepts including MPLS, SD-WAN, Core-WAN and Datacentre Fabrics

Understand routers/firewalls/switches/Network-Proxies & load-balancers configuration and upgrades, VLANs, Dynamics routing (BGP/OSPF), PE/CPE, network monitoring and management best practices

Knowledge of security best practices (network/identity) and knowledge of Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, CheckPoint firewalls and range of products

Understand LAN/WAN concepts, Layer 2/Layer 3 LAN, DNS, DHCP & IPAM

Understand Wireless Network Configuration/Upgrades and deployment best practices

Having knowledge on Network automation and transformations
