The Symantec Solution Architect is a senior pre & post sales role responsible for meticulously partnering with customers to consult, educate, and gather feedback from key enterprise accounts. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of security and networking technology, along with the ability to navigate organizational dynamics and positively influence key customer decision makers

The main objective of Symantec's Security Strategists team is to cater to the needs of our most significant clients and their security objectives. This position's primary duty is to assist in formulating and implementing strategies that guarantee the effective integration of our Cybersecurity solutions and foster customer adoption.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled candidate for the position who possesses extensive expertise in network architecture and cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on Network Design, Routing Protocols, Connecting Data centers to Cloud, Network Security solutions, and a deep understanding of Cloud adoptions and architectures. Additionally, they should have a proven track record of engaging with Enterprise Network and Cybersecurity Architects, Executives, and key decision-makers, while establishing strong relationships as a trusted advisor and delivering tailored solutions for global enterprises.

As part of this role, hands-on experience in building adoption architecture with critical cybersecurity and information governance solutions, specifically focusing on Network design to drive adoption of Cloud delivered Security Solutions such as SASE/SSE, Zero Trust Network Access, etc. outcomes are required.

Reporting directly to the Global Head of Security Strategy, this position holds significant influence over Symantec's vision and roadmap, driven by the largest global enterprises.

As a representative of the Symantec Enterprise Division, the candidate will concentrate on building the network design blueprints for Cloud adoption, supporting and executing the division's strategy and technical aspects. Collaboration with our largest customers, product managers, sales teams, and other stakeholders will be an essential part of the role. The ideal candidate should also have practical experience in designing WAN and routing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Foster a trusted advisor relationship with Enterprise Network and Security Architects at strategic customers, instilling confidence in our solutions and assisting them in prioritizing and driving adoption outcomes with Symantec’s SASE/SSE, SWG, CASB, Cloud DLP and Endpoint Security solutions.
• Working with Enterprise network architects, build custom network architecture enterprises will follow to implement and operationalize Symantec’s Cloud Delivered and Hybrid solutions. This includes working with traditional routing and switching and SDWAN solutions.
• Plan and execute objectives that align with the strategic business goals of the Products & Sales organizations. This includes enabling customers throughout their Cloud journey by leveraging our SaaS services, such as CoudSWG, Cloud Firewall , Cloud Security, and Information Governance solutions.
• Plan and execute objectives that align with the Products & Sales organizations' strategic business goals. One of which is, enabling our customers through their Cloud-journey with our SaaS services, such as CloudSOC/CASB, CSPM and DLP architected into it. 
• Take ownership and provide guidance on complex or critical customer situations, such as building integrated technical architectures our customers can consult in their cloud migration.
• Serve as a global subject matter expert in Cloud Security, SASE and Zero Trust, influencing and developing product and solution features, product strategy, and CxO-level selling models and processes.
• Ability to demonstrate the power of integrated Symantec Enterprise Cloud solution in action for commercial and technical buyers. 

Required Skills

• Proven technical and strategic leadership in sales engagements; particularly in large scale, complex and competitive and critical situations.
• Expertise and Hands-on experience with Symantec ProxySG, CloudSOC, & DLP Solution set. 
• Deep understanding and working knowledge of routing protocols, network encryption standards, network tunnel and encapsulation protocols with Independently articulates business value of Symantec Enterprise Cloud to CxO-level audiences (pitches and whiteboards).
• Well versed in established and emerging cyber security Architectures and Frameworks such as DDR, SASE and Zero Trust.
• Proven consistent communication and documentation skills, including regular review and communication of current plan and status
• Uses technical knowledge to create and deliver impactful architecture-level assets and conversations.
• Must be able to take work direction in the form of high-level objectives. Attains and maintains an expertise and trusted by Sales an SEs in multiple technology areas within Symantec Enterprise Division.
• Inspires confidence and trust in others through own authenticity and follow-through on commitments.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's and 8+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role within a cybersecurity company/team.
• Demonstrated technical and strategic leadership in building technical architectures , particularly in large-scale, complex, and competitive scenarios.
• Expertise and hands-on experience with Designing and architecting WAN connectivity with business continuity and performance objectives in focus.
• Hands-on experience in setting up IPSEC tunnels with monitoring and redundancy considered.
• Ability to effectively communicate the business value of Symantec Enterprise Cloud to CxO-level audiences through presentations and whiteboard discussions.
• Proficient in established and emerging cybersecurity architectures and frameworks, such as SASE and Zero Trust.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, consistently reviewing and communicating current plans and status. I

Additional Requirements

• Willingness and ability to travel internationally (travel can be range from 25% to 50% at times), but should also endeavor to minimize travel by building strong relationships and developing the skills of others in the community to enable effective remote collaboration

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $106,800 - $178,000.

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
