As part of our continuing growth in this high technology market, Teledyne Digital Imaging is recruiting for a Software Developer/Programmer in Waterloo.

Detailed Description:

We are currently seeking a highly talented and motivated individual with the purpose of supporting and enhancing the company`s business application software. 

In this position, you will have the responsibility to develop, create and modify general computer applications software or specialized productivity software and further more, working with the team of programmers and/or a project manager, you will also prepare speifications, analyze user requirements and design databases within the application.

  • Plan, develop, test, and document business application software, applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems.
  • Consult with Users/Senior Programmer/Project Manager to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives.
  • Complete documentation of all design activities including preparation and maintenance of user manuals.
  • Completion of User Training during roll-out of new application and as required during general support.
  • Maintenance and support of existing business application software.
  • Interaction with users when directed and as necessary during the software design cycle and application life cycle.
  • Completion of tasks and projects within agreed upon time.
  • Perform technical development activities such as design, coding, debugging and testing in such a manner that technical accuracy is always maintained.
  • Adhere to all relevant DALSA development standards and conventions during design, coding, testing and debugging, including the usage of only approved software development tools, languages and compilers.
  • Generate monthly activity summary report for Project Manager

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science or Computer Engineering or its equivalent from an accredited University or,
  • 3 year College Diploma in Computer Programming/Analyst Technology coupled with 1 year industry experience
  • Strong time management and organization skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of ASP.NET
  • Working knowledge of Database design using MS SQL
