Eugene Lang College Dean’s Office – Graduate Assistant: Curriculum and Academic Affairs

The Eugene Lang College Dean’s Office is hiring a Graduate Student Assistant to provide administrative support for the College’s academic, curricular, and assessment initiatives. This position requires the ability to collect and analyze data on course-related information such as enrollments, attributes, meeting patterns, and other features of curriculum delivery and demands a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail. The graduate assistant must have exceptional written and oral communication skills and demonstrated proficiency with Google Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides) and Microsoft Excel. The Position reports to the Assistant Dean of Curriculum and Learning. Duties vary based on College needs and the schedule is flexible.

Minimum Qualifications:

This position includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compile, transform, and analyze course data using Microsoft Excel and Google Suite
  • Research and prepare materials in support of curricular projects
  • Compile and summarize data related to Lang academic projects
  • Proofread all curriculum-related materials, including course descriptions; crosscheck curriculum-related materials with website and university course catalog information
  • Monitor tagging of Lang courses with Shared Capacities and track course offerings across semesters and the academic year Track progress of curricular initiatives through Lang governance and Provost Office structures
  • Assist with management of academic program assessment data
  • Assist as special projects arise
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Interest in behind-the-scenes academic affairs work at the college level and appreciation for impact of efficient academic operations on student success
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent editing and organizational skills; must be able to manage multiple documents and streams of information from varying sources and in varying formats
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with Google Suite, particularly Google Sheets
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Detail-oriented and organized, able to prioritize multiple tasks with varying deadlines
  • Self-starter, able to work independently with limited supervision
  • Professional and upbeat attitude; good sense of humor

Work Mode: The position is for 10 hours per week, either remote or in person,

Hourly Pay: $19
