Software Engineering Manager - Mainframe Platform (Storage Suite)

We are seeking an exceptional Software Engineering Manager to join our team and lead the development of our Storage Suite of products on the mainframe platform. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding results and ensuring engineering excellence in this critical domain.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of software engineers responsible for the development, maintenance, and quality assurance of our Storage Suite products on the mainframe platform.
• Apply the Continuous Delivery Software Development Model to drive engineering excellence and ensure efficient delivery of high-quality software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, architecture, user experience, tech writing, and support, to align on product direction, best practices, and customer requirements.
• Serve as a product leader, working closely with the Product Owner (PO) to evangelize the product, define its future direction, and contribute to strategic planning.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the engineering team, providing mentorship and coaching to help team members strengthen their skills and grow professionally.
• Ensure the adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements, while making informed decisions on administrative and operational matters.
• Collaborate with other leaders within the organization to establish strategic plans, objectives, and cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of overall experience in software development, with at least 1-2 years of experience in a management or leadership role.
• Strong expertise in mainframe platforms, preferably with experience in developing and maintaining storage-related software products.
• Proven record of accomplishment of successfully managing software engineering teams and delivering complex software projects within budget and schedule constraints.
• Deep understanding of the Continuous Delivery Software Development Model and its application to drive engineering excellence and product code quality.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Location:

This position is based in our Plano, TX office. Relocation assistance would be be considered for the right candidate.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $91,200 - $152,000.

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
