Job Description

Summary

Collects all open Accounts Receivable and resolves invoice/billing/tax disputes. Negotiates, establishes, and maintains customer credit lines through financial analysis or public reporting tools. Manages customer statements and customer communication as it pertains to all aspects of AR. Works very closely with Customer Service for order releases, and over limit reviews. Performs regular evaluation on improving efficiency in all aspects of the role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Contact customers about pending and past due invoices
  • Document results and track progress
  • Follow-up routinely to resolution
  • Researches and processes charge backs, returns, and bad checks.
  • Works on problems of moderate complexity, diversification or expense. 
  • Normally receives general instruction on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Intermediate Excel skills important. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to operate a computer and have excellent keyboarding skills.

Education and/or Experience 

High School diploma or GED is required. Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a similar position required. One year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Requires a basic knowledge of accounting, some credit analysis, commercial collections and customer service skill
