Job Description

Wanted: An experienced DevOps Tools SME with demonstrated experience in planning, directing, and coordinating activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming. Preference given to candidates who can bring strong skills in designing and maintaining network applications and implementing process and quality improvements through task automation.

A week in the life of a DevOps Tools SME: 

  • Manage DevSecOps engineers 
  • Develop a DevSecOps solution featuring a single automated IaC script with a minimum number of commands to create an AWS infrastructure. 
  • Develop CI/CD pipeline for deploying microservices and a secure web-based application. 
  • Leverage IaC/Terraform to both launch and demolish the entire environment including Kubernetes cluster, containerized microservices, web-based applications, CI/CD pipeline, and the databases compliance program. 
  • Design, implement, maintain AWS infrastructures/services within a managed service environment for Maximus BPO solutions. 
  • Design, deploy and maintain enterprise class security, network and systems management applications within an AWS environment. 
  • Perform data migration from on premises environments into AWS. 
  • Monitor security controls supporting a comprehensive compliance program and clear understanding of cloud computing services/deployment architecture.

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. Job Requirements

  • Required: a minimum of 12 years of recent and relevant experience.
  • Preferred education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in information technology management or a related field. 
  • Domain expertise: DevSecOps, Cloud, Operating Systems, Database. 
  • Technical skills: Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, GIT, Jira, AWS (EC2, VPC, ELB, S3, EBS, RDS, Route53, ELB, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, AWS Auto Scaling, Lambda, Elastic BeanStalk), AWS CLI, AWS IaaS, Unix/Linux, Shell scripting, Nginx, Tomcat, Oracle, SQL Server, NoSQL 
  • Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Prof, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Assoc, Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for Java Platform, Sun Certified Java Programmer. 
  • Previous Transportation Security Administration (TSA) personnel clearance preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience with and knowledge of TSA’s mission priorities, systems, and applications preferred but not required. 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to coordinate across large groups of people at multiple levels
