As part of the Defence team, you will have an active role in desining and implementing new features for the SitaWare suite. SitaWare offers the technological guidance for our soldiers to navigate the challenges of the modern battlespace: on land, at sea, in the air or in the joint domain. It enables advanced command-and-control capabilities, each part developed to support specific roles with an open architecture and scalable configuration to provide safe, accessible and dynamic operating picture.

Responsibilities and tasks

As a Software Developer in our Defence team, your role will involve developing, improving, and maintaining our Defence product to simplify critical decision making for its users, such as military personnel and other defence professionals

Your daily tasks will involve:

  • Design and implement new features together with our Domain Experts and User Experience Engineers;
  • Troubleshoot, optimize and solve complex problems in an existing codebase
  • Ensure the quality of the solution by reviewing and inspecting the design and code made by your developer colleagues.

What should you bring 

  • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a relevant technical university;
  • At least 3 years of experience in software development;
  • You are a proactive team player with an open mindset;
  • You are fluent in English and thrive in an international working environment.

Technologies used in Systematic

Our development process utilizes a custom stack for each product. Based on your expertise and the specific project requirements, you may have the opportunity to work with a variety of programming languages, including:

  • Backend: Java, Scala, C++, C#
  • Frontend: Angular, JavaScript, Angular.js
  • Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes

Practical information

  • Travel might be expected to our Headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark
  • We work with security classified projects, therefore, as a Systematic employee, you must have a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO/EU country for the past seven years. Additionally, it is a requirement to obtain a security clearance when working in our Defence Business Unit. Please read more here.
