JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Chicago Department of Aviation, Security Division

Number of Positions: One (1)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Attend all on-site construction meetings during the design and development phase of all construction projects affecting airport TSA regulated areas.
  • Prepare and submit TSA Amendment’s/Change Conditions as required.
  • Provide security regulatory guidance to contractors’ design staff.
  • Revise as required, the Airport Security Program (ASP) documentation.
  • Report to and take direction from the Assistant Commissioner of Regulatory Compliance.
  • Attend Stakeholder meetings and provide regulatory briefings when necessary.
  • Monitor the progress of all corrective actions taken to satisfy deficiencies noted in the TSA Annual Inspections for Midway and O’Hare Airports, to ensure they are completed.
  • Conduct Commissioning/Inspections” on all relevant construction projects.
  • Conduct and track all regulated audits mandated by the ASP.
  • Conduct tests on a regular basis of security measures outline on the ASP.
  • Remain up to date with changes/updates of TSA Regulations 49CFR1540, 1542, and 1520. Performs other related duties as required.

Location: Chicago Department of Aviation

ORD and/or MDW International Airports

Shift: Monday – Friday

Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration or a field of study directly related to the responsibilities of the position, plus five years of project management work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, provided that the minimum degree requirement is met.

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires applicants to complete an interview. The interviewed candidate(s) who possess the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position will be selected.

Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:

  • Certification in Project Management.
  • Background in Construction Engineering
  • Background in 49CFR1542
  • Background in compliance and performance audits
