Junior Dev Ops Engineer

NCR Terafina provides omnichannel sales solutions that enable community banks and credit unions to grow organically by offering their customers and members a modern and unified onboarding experience.

NCR Terafina is looking to fill a Junior DevOps Engineering role to design, develop, and support medium to large continuous integration and delivery pipelines. As an organization that continues to scale, this is a unique opportunity to work very closely with the Executive Director of Engineering and learn in a fast paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have an ability to work independently and a demonstrated track record to deliver high quality results. This individual should be super organized, show initiative, and work well in a team environment that is easily adaptable to change.

PROFILE

• DevOps engineer with 4-6 years of experience in designing, developing, and supporting medium to large Continuous Integration/ Delivery pipelines
• Should have worked closely with development, engineering, and consulting teams for implementing build and release process
• Should be experienced in implementing SIEM – Security Information and Event Management
• Good understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Programmable Infrastructure) / Server automation, and how you can achieve that by using tools like Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.
• Extensive hand on experience on cloud service providers like AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
• Experience on Salesforce would be an advantage
• Knowledge in common SCM practices like cloning, branching, merging,

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, implement and support deployment for 45+ projects
• Innovate and device solution to optimize and scale the deployment
• Design, implement and monitor SIEM system
• Identify key performance metrics for environments and develop solution to stabilize and monitor for acceptable SLA
• Plan and build automation for repetitive tasks
• Assist and recommend development and consulting teams for industry best practices
• Keen to learn new technologies, adapt quickly and release to business teams as quickly as possible
• Support existing IaaS, PaaS, SaaS providers
• Ability to work effectively within a team with minimum supervision

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

• CI / Automation / Integration tools – Jenkins, TravisCI, TeamCity, CircleCI, GitLab
• Cloud computing service – Azure, AWS, GCP
• Container orchestration - Docker, Kubernetes,
• Shell, AWK, Groovy, Python and any other programming language
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Groovy, NodeJs etc would be an advantage
• Knowledge of Salesforce Platform would be an added advantage
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Typescript/Javascript or any other programming languages would be an added advantage
• Infrastructure as Code (Programmable Infrastructure) – Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.
• Administration of SCM, Bug Tracking, Doc Management, Operating systems like Github, JIRA, Google Docs, Ubuntu, CentOS
• Serve side technologies – Apache, Nginx, Redis, HAProxy, IIS
• Database – Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL
