Job Description

Job Summary:

Teledyne Controls, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer with 2-5 years’ experience to work and support TDY various avionic-based system, embedded devices and platforms. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing, modifying, developing, writing, testing, and implementing software programming for user applications using C/C++/C#. Python, SQL and other modern programming languages on Windows and Linux Operating System. We are searching for a developer with hands-on practical experience and understanding of embedded computing, real time computing, BSP development, and driver development. No security clearance required.

Detailed Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Writes software code and completes programming for graphical user interfaces and may write firmware for embedded processes as required using C/C++/Java/C# programming languages and scripts (Python/JavaScripts/VBScript/batch/shell).
  • Performs design, analysis and verification testing of a functional component (e.g. software module, embedded software module) for new or existing products and designs running different Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, GreenHills Integrity OS, RTOS).
  • Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing, debugging, and certification of software.
  • Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance
  • May perform testing and modeling, simulation and analysis in designing compilers, utility programs, database (MS Access) maintenance.
  • Provides inputs for documentation of new or existing programs.
  • Briefs others on deliverables, status and progress.
  • Provides application support to other departments and personnel as needed.
  • Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
  • May prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
  • Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
  • Daily availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in a related field and 2-5 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Must be a U.S. Person

4. A part of the U.S. government, or

Salary Range:

$71,940.00 - $120,230.00
