Summary
For the Area "Spectrum Dominance Application S/W Engineering" we are looking for a "Software Architect Java Application Software (f/m/d)" at the Ulm site as soon as possible.
The Area "Spectrum Dominance Application S/W Engineering" deals with the design and implementation of user software for electronic warfare systems within the framework of a SW product suite with different application focuses. Efficient and innovative technologies, processes and tools are used in the development.
Your Tasks
- Conceptual design, creation and enhancement of SW architectures
- Creation of SW requirements
- Design, implementation, testing and documentation of complex software modules (Java Swing, Java FX and Java 2D Graphics; real-time signal analysis displays)
- Programming of DDS, TCP / UDP and Client-Server
- Multi-threading programming
- Further development and maintenance of Java 3D / 2D Map applications based on Nasa WorldWind
- Testing of product and project releases and support of customer acceptance tests
- Collaboration in release planning and support in proposal preparation
Your Profile
- Completed studies in the area of computer science or comparable
- Several years of practical experience in front-end and/or back-end development
- Extensive experience in creating software requirements and designing software architectures
- Experience in defining and ensuring software quality criteria (coding guidelines, design patterns, code reviews)
- Extensive programming knowledge
- Knowledge of communications fundamentals (electromagnetic spectrum, signals, direction finders, receivers, radar, radar EW)
- Hands-on mentality and an agile mindset
- Fluent German and very good English skills
