Responsibilities

To provide 24/7 Operations support in Drilling Optimization, Performance analysis responsibilities in Real time Drilling operations while working in Shifts on rotation basis. Exhibit thorough knowledge of Real Time Software functionality, configuration, and usage.

Role / Responsibility-

Fulfil Basic drilling optimization responsibility including Torque and Drag, MSE, Hydraulics and Performance analysis, benchmarking, KPI tracking.

Monitor Real Time data to identify Drilling events like Stuck pipe, Tight spots, Hole cleaning issues.

Exhibit thorough knowledge of Real Time Software functionality, configuration, and usage

Acts as an intermediate level technical specialist. Oversees junior level engineers in day to day task and critical troubleshooting.

Manage and track escalations to higher support levels and escalations to development team

Provide training to customers on Viewer application and functionality.

Provide real time technical support to Drilling services for Data Storage and Management.

May require occasional travel to the rig sites for installation of RTDS hardware for new project set up and Client Demo.

Get certified for various Sea Survival courses. (BOSIET / H2S certification)

Test and configure Edge Hardware / software utilised for data transmission and aggregation.

Completion of all required training per given time lines

Must understand and comply with all QHSE policies of Weatherford

Qualifications

The positions on this role are responsible for monitoring/planning and/or support drilling/well operations. Based on their experience in multiple complex environments, leads these processes on conventional and/ or complex wells.

Responsible for development of operating procedures, presentations, end-of-well reports and other documentation as required.

These positions could work closely with several disciplines involved into the well construction process, inside and outside of Weatherford. 

Qualification-

Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering

Preferred- Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering

Skill and Knowledge-

Good grasp on Drilling Operations, Drilling rig sites work experience (LWD/ MPD / Drilling engineer)

RTOC work experience will be preferred.

Fair knowledge of WITS/WITSML protocols of data transmission.

Basic knowledge of networking. IP address/ Firewalls / Proxy Networks.

Ability to work with minimum supervision

Effective communication and Presentation skills.
