We are hiring an IT Project Manager, for European Institutions in IT services across Luxembourg in anticipation of the new contract

The IT Project Manager shall provide project management services contracted through discrete projects. 

For each project, they shall act as the single point of contact for technical and operational matters related to those services. Furthermore, the IT Project Manager shall be responsible for guaranteeing that any Service Level Targets defined in AToR are met and that all requested services are delivered.

Role Responsibility

As IT Project Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Responsible and accountable for individual and team results;
  • Ensures customer satisfaction as well as project objectives are met;
  • Participates in projects that may be run by the Institution or in discrete mode with other parties;
  • Ensures adequate staffing and appropriate skill levels by managing shifts, staffing schedules;
  • Manages and controls personal presence onsite including holidays, shift and unforeseen absence for individual and teams;
  • Takes on a wider customer service role and act as an escalation point for the Institution;
  • Reports any issues that could cause a significant negative impact on services to the Institution managers;
  • Conducts internal and external kick-offs;
  • Coordinates with own implementation resources to align with project schedule to ensure key services milestones built into plan including resources, environment availability, transition plan, performance testing, etc.;
  • Secures the Institution approval concerning service activities & timing;
  • Drive project steering committee, monthly meeting and/or project status meetings during implementations;
  • Manages escalations during project lifecycle;
  • Conducts periodic reviews of the services with the Institution (provide related delivery reports, ensure SLTs are being maintained and escalate where necessary);
  • Provides mentoring to service coordinators;
  • Provides recommendations to improve staff and team operational, technical and customer satisfaction.

Successful Candidate

Technical and specific skills / Experience

  • University degree of at least 3 years, in a relevant subject;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager;
  • Has been involved in at least 2 IT-related projects in a senior/lead role;
  • Very good command of English (at least Level B2 -Common European Framework of Reference for Languages);
  • Good knowledge of project management standards and methodologies;
  • Proven focus on the user/customer and customer satisfaction and delivery of high-quality services to the customer;
  • Very good communication and teamwork skills;
  • Ability to manage and deliver high quality presentations and other client-facing work products;
  • Excellent strategic, analytical and leadership skills;
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and to operate effectively in a high-pressure situation
