We are looking for a Tech Lead to implement and coordinate the future technology roadmap for Carlyle’s Investment Solutions (AlpInvest) segment.
Investment Solutions is a critical segment for Carlyle and is poised for significant growth in the future, including potential retail market offerings and platforms. This position will support that growth by providing architectural and technical leadership, and hands on implementation experience to support the modernization of data platforms and practices within the segment. They will also work with other data practitioners, developers, and stakeholders to deliver key improvements to the data landscape as well as oversee the implementation and integration of various business systems throughout the segment. The architect will get to develop, implement, and monitor development, delivery, operations, and support best practices along with their peers throughout the organization to ensure the highest quality of service and delivery.
The team is actively pursuing multiple areas of enhancement throughout the platform and candidates will be able to jump in from day one to help move them forward. New data governance patterns, practices, and group are being formed and developed to help define the data and its attributes. The enterprise is actively working to select data catalog, lineage, and quality tools to fit within existing toolsets and provide capability into the future. Development is also already underway on Snaplogic and Snowflake, two new platforms intended to enhance scalability of data functions within the organization. Maintenance of our existing Microsoft SQL Server based systems and platforms also remains a priority. The architect will participate in all these areas as both an architectural advisor and implementation expert.
This role will include opportunities to lead teams of contractors and implementation partners as they deliver on parts of the platform, as well as take the reins and be the key delivery resource in other areas. Candidates should be comfortable working using agile management methodologies involving multiple stakeholders.
