Job Specification – Team Lead, Business Services – Order to Cash (OtC)

Job location: Renaissance Industrial & Warehousing Complex, Unit no. WA-06, Village: Vashere, Amane B.O Padgha-Kalyan Toll Road, Tehsil- Bhiwandi, District- Thane, PIN 421 302.

Job Summary

To contribute to deriving operational excellence for SSC OTC by playing a key role in Offshore process Migrations, Month End Closing, Credit risk mitigation, Order release, Account Reconciliations creation and review.

Essential Functions

Essential Function 1: Process Operations Cash application and Credit Management

  • Should be able to create credit scoring models as a credit risk team member.
  • Should be able to keep track and record the AR payments and bad debts account.
  • Should lookout for the company’s credibility and potential revenues and losses.
  • Should be able to negotiate credit terms with Sales team for new and potential customers. 
  • Have regular interaction with Sales team to discuss outstanding collections Coordinate with Customer service team to gather additional details with respect to collections or credit management transactions
  • Credit assessments for Existing customers Maintaining Internal Tracker for the activities/SLA DTP-SOP s updating regularly basis Adhere to process defined Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Analyze individual and business/entity financial statements, public information sources, individual credit reports, and other relevant information to calculate cash flow and balance sheet ratios. 
  • Use ratio analysis and evaluate other qualitative factors to determine a client’s risk of default.
  • Work with Credit Manager and Closing partners to ensure a seamless and timely delivery of credit to the client, while maintaining a strict regulatory and control environment.
  • Contact clients directly and liaise with the Customer derive desk team, to ensure unidentified receipts are worked on each day and kept at an absolute minimum.
  • Monitoring and processing of items highlighted each week on the Un-Reconciled Report.
  • Timely and accurate recording, of payments returned to clients.
  • Assist in forensic analysis of aged items and on-account payments to ensure open items are identified and closed out.
  • Identifying and working through areas for improvement and increased automation with external consultants and the Corporate Systems team.
  • Assist as required with the month-end Bank > GL reconciliations.
  • Participating in the financial close process including sub ledger to GL reconciliations and ensuring all activities are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Responding to audit queries.
  • To undertake ad hoc and other duties as required by the Business Unit.

  • Prepare and run team meetings
  • Plan overall team capacity
  • Manage, motivate, and develop staff
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring team resources
  • Coach team members and ensure they receive orientation and appropriate development opportunities
  • Mid/Year end appraisal reviews & regular feedback to team members
  • Regular updates to team manager on overall resources & process management

Essential Function 3: End-to-End process improvements

  • Ensure adherence to internal and external guidelines as well as to a standardized process landscape
  • Support process improvements initiatives and related projects

Essential Function 4: Relationship Management

  • Respond to critical vendor and internal client inquiries (first level escalation cases)
  • Maintain positive work relationships with members of other teams in and outside the SSC
  • Establishing and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external customers and ensure customer satisfaction.

Education

  • B.COM/MCOM
  • Accounting education Must; any degree in accounting

Business Experience

  • Essential: +10 Years (Non CA)
  • Essential: High end Accounting & Analytical skills
  • Desirable: SAP FICO Closing and Reporting Experience.
  • Desirable: Working experience within a shared services center/BPO

Additional Qualifications

Desirable: Degree/Diploma in Business Management
