Responsibilities:

The technical Administrator/Engineer is responsible of administrating business and core IT solutions:

  • He is responsible of the level of availability of IT resources through proactive follow-up of all IT resources, to prevent the risk of service failure or degraded response times
  • He diagnoses and corrects complex issues and problems escalated by incident level 2 teams
  • He defines and implements new processes and procedures in order to respect SLAs and high user experience.
  • He contributes with technical architects to long term plans and roadmaps definition (infrastructure modernization and obsolescence).

He’s responsible in the implementation of new project in production by:

  • participating in design development with architecture and business teams
  • coordinating required steps to support the new solution
  • actively participating to projects.


Has a global and updated vision of ROQUETTE information systems and a good knowledge of the company.

Key Accountabilities: 

BUILD ACTIVITIES

  • Actively participates to projects phases and hyper care periods as a technical expert.
  • Manages the final acceptance for the implementation of new solutions in production environment with third-party service providers.
  • Ensure the full monitoring of new solutions by 3rd party service providers.
  • Contributes as a technical expert to IT/IS infrastructure products / services architecture conception.
  • Reviews the High-Level Design provided by Architects and produces/updates Low-Level Design documentations and referential.
  • Participates to other IS or business projects and ensure underlying IT infrastructure has reliable operational foundation.
  • Alert project management and architects on scope deviation or technical issues/gaps.
  • Participate with architects to the evaluation of new technologies (POC) in accordance with architecture guideline.
  • May lead solution architecture activities based on existing patterns for simple to moderate complexity projects.

RUN ACTIVITIES

  • Provides expertise and give support on complex incidents and problems to L2 teams.
  • Ensures the proper availability of operational solutions and Level 3 support services provided to Local IT support and IT Business Team.
  • Ensures IT solutions’ performances, availability, quality and security on his own domain.
  • Operational management of third-party service providers in collaboration with Performance Management team (incident/request/problem management, KPI and SLA, proper knowledges, reporting, etc.).
  • Guarantees full compliancy of all change activities with the Global Digital process and standards.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of his solutions in a proactive manner.
  • Plays an important role in the support structure as part of the escalation process, delivering product / service-related expertise.
  • Is part of the OnCall rotation in his technical domain to ensure 24x7 and Worldwide availability.
  • Is the primary contact for technological partners and vendors supports. Hence, he is responsible of managing support contract renewal and budget.
  • Communicates and advises technical and functional teams on the vendors and partners orientations.
  • Manages the maintenance plan of his own solutions and ensures proper execution by 3rd party service providers.
  • Contributes to obsolescence roadmap with technical architects.
  • In accordance with the obsolescence roadmap, he plans and executes the required actions to ensure the full support of his own solutions.
  • Takes part in technology watch on the solutions his is responsible of with technical architects.
  • Contribute to budget adherence by implementing all possible optimization plans (solution optimization, license scope, end of support, etc.).
  • Ensures CMDB and referential are up to date.

Specificities:

  • In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure Service Operations and Service Transition including identifying the gaps between the reference architecture and actual solution on the ground, and then developing action plans to close these gaps.
  • Experienced in appropriate incident resolution, change management processes, as well as how to be an effective member of project teams, thus knowing how to play an important role in the support structure, especially in the Operations escalation process.
  • Experienced in problem and performance management processes and tools, cross IT domains.
  • Understanding of business requirements and constraints related to Business IT solutions he’s managing.
  • Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external technical and business issues to improve products / services or processes.

Specific Competencies: 

Technical skills required are :

  • Experience in Security infrastructure, including firewalls (Fortinet), IPS/IDS (Fortinet), MS Azure Networking, MS Azure Apps Gateway, Cloud based proxy services (Zscaler), Load-balancing, Micro-segmentation, Netork Access Control
  • Experience in LAN/WAN infrastructure including Cisco LAN (Catalyst, Nexus, SDN), WIFI (Extreme Networks), VPN Gateway (Fortinet), SD-WAN (Versa Networks)
  • Experience in Automation & Orchestration tools.

Education:

  • Engineer: Degree of BAC + 5 or equivalent
  • Specialized in jobs in IT technology 

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of IT infrastructure experience, with up to 4 to 7 years as a technical team member.
  • Sense of service and initiative through rigorous approach to work and being pragmatic on timely resolution of incidents/issues.
  • Personal availability that meets on-call requirements including participation to crises management on major incidents.
  • Strong ability to anticipate the near future to avoid issues in the form of capacity bottle necks, or configuration errors.
  • Vendor performance management including execution of effective operational escalations.
  • Ability to work in teams and across multiple groups and geographies, and with service providers, to solve incidents and problems .
  • Effective incident management coupled with good knowledge in problem resolution and root cause analysis skills.
  • Fluency in English (reading, written, spoken).
  • Has a global and updated vision of information systems and especially software from her/his domain: functional usages, lifecycles, evolutions…
  • Work in an international environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Specific requirements:

  • Experience in a subset of following technical areas that matches his/her architecture domain: Wired LAN / WIFI / WAN / Security infrastructures (Firewall, NAC, Load-balancing, Iaas/PaaS Cloud Platforms)
  • ITIL Foundation Level Certification
  • Any technical related certification is a plus.
