Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Open Pit Drill and Shovel Maintenance Technician with our Open Pit Maintenance department.

Responsibilities:

• Safely maintain a fleet of P&H electric shovels, Hitachi 5500 hydraulic shovel, Atlas Copco, and Sandvik drills
• Carry out all scheduled maintenance, act quickly to rectify and complete repairs due to unscheduled maintenance, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives in a positive manner
• Responsible for reporting in writing a detail of work activities at the completion of every job
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Three (3) years’ experience in related field preferred
• Ability to maintain an inventory of personal tools to complete the job required
• A high level of hydraulics and electrical skills required
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds required
• Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, team orientated and work with minimum supervision required
• Proven safety record required
• Excellent attendance record required
• Willingness to work in adverse conditions required
• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required
