The Opportunity

CSL Behring Australia is undergoing extensive and positive change as we expand. In addition to contributing to Australia's export economy, CSL has invested and continues to invest in substantial new manufacturing facilities to support CSL's global strategy and provide the network with crucial supply of finished / intermediates sourced from our Australian facilities.

As part of the BACE II Project, which will deliver a major expansion to the AlbuRx production capacity on the Broadmeadows site, an important position has been identified to support the project delivery, being a Project Manager – BACE II Bulk Lead.

You will be a critical member of the Project Delivery team and will lead the delivery of the bulk process scope for the BACE II Project.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Delivery Lead you will:

• Lead the delivery of the bulk process scope for the BACE II Project
• Project delivery of capital assets consistent with project goals and business case
• Deliver project scope through all design phases, construction, FAT/SAT, startup and verification testing
• Compliance with Stage Gate process, PD Playbook, Engineering Standards and CSL CoE Best Practices, Policies, and Standards
• Manage vendors and contractors in the successful fulfilment of the relevant scope of work
• Contribute to a safe construction environment throughout the project
• Take ownership of EHS through emphasis on EHS by Design and Principles of Prevention

Your skills and experience

• A Tertiary degree in Engineering, Science or a related discipline
• Demonstrated success with at least 10+ years' experience in Project Delivery, Design & Construction & Start-up, in biopharma, life sciences or other regulated industry
• Experience in bulk pharmaceutical production projects is highly desirable
• Experience with project management and experience managing capital projects (up to $20 million), meeting financial targets, and driving cost savings
• Lead diverse project teams, working collaboratively with a variety of internal and external resources to deliver successful projects safely, on time and on budget
• Good understanding of cGMP, GEP and EHS&S requirements globally
