About the Role

Bonhams Skinner is seeking responsible, team-oriented, and driven part-time Auction Assistants to work at the Malborough Gallery. This part-time role entails auction support as well as duties behind the scenes ranging from front desk coverage to hands on work with material in house. Weekday shifts with evening and weekend work required. The flexibility of schedule is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and styling the gallery for auctions
  • Assisting with pickups, previews, and events
  • Unpacking, packing, and conducting inventory of property
  • Participating in fundamental tasks during auctions
  • Covering the front desk, fielding walk-ins, appointments, and calls
  • Assisting with various administrative tasks

Key Skills & Attributes

  • Must be able to lift 35 to 40 lbs. and climb a ladder
  • Willingness to work as a team as well as independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills
