National Account Manager – Key Retail Accounts

General Responsibilities/Role Overview: 

Develop, manage, and drive key sales activities for Bemis products at Lowes US/Rona Canada, Kohler, and other assigned accounts. Will execute strategies and programs to achieve maximum sales volume, penetration, and profitability for the company. This is accomplished through deep relationship building and involvement with the Key Accounts, National/Field Sales Managers, procurement teams and the Manufacturer’s Representative organizations.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Leadership role with the portfolio of Bemis products (Seats, Bidets, Faucets, Independence) at Lowes and other key accounts. 
  • Cultivates strong working relationships with all levels of Lowes merchandising, inventory, MST, and support teams to execute sales plan and strategies.
  • Leads MST team at both the corporate and field level to ensure execution, proper presentation of products and resolve merchandising/set issues.
  • Engages in implementation of strategic sales plans to achieve corporate goals, including sales, margins, and profitability.
  • Key contributor in customer meetings and creation of presentation as necessary.
  • Evaluate and analyze market trends, as well as the competitive environment to identify opportunities and build overall customer strategy.
  • Closely monitor key internal and customer performance metrics, assuring programs/strategies are exceeding customer and corporate expectations.
  • Key contact with Kohler and specific OEM accounts; translating customer product requests and into actionable projects.
  • Close partnership with internal teams in managing program execution, including product launches, updates and any other requests made by customers.
  • Provides input and expertise on planning forecast, budgets, and expenses.
  • Travel in field to research marketplace, attend customer events, and collaborate with internal teams.
  • Other duties as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of sales experience working with major home-center chains
  • Experience in working with Lowes MST or equivalent national chain service organizations preferred
  • Track record of eCommerce experience with customer online digital portals
  • Strong presentation skills, both verbal and written with key ability to communicate, negotiate and collaborate 
  • Ability to travel 30-40% of the time as required

Work Environment:

  • This is a remote home office position ideally located in the Charlotte, NC or SE area
  • When traveling, it may require walking/standing in customer stores and exhibition halls
  • Ability to reach above shoulder height, below waist and lift as required to provide sample products and presentation materials to the customer (up to 30 lbs.)
