Who will you be joining? 

The Risk Controlling SE (RCSE) team is responsible for the risk management of Allianz SE, its holding activities, and the Holding & Treasury subsegment. The working student position offers a chance to support in the preparation of the regulatory (Solvency II) narrative risk reporting, to develop a sound understanding of the risk profile of Allianz and to get a wide overview of risk and finance topics relevant for the insurance group.

How can you make an impact? 

  • Support in regulatory (Solvency II) risk reporting process for Allianz SE (e.g. ORSA, Annual Report, SFCR/RSR) incl. further development of an integrated narrative reporting tool
  • Support with respect to risk management tasks in the qualitative and quantitative risk area
  • Project work on governance and risk topics

What are you made of? 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in a related field of study (such as business administration, economics, finance, or similar)
  • Proficient spoken and written German and English language skills
  • Strong command of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and analysis tools
  • Strong skills in structuring and preparing complex written documents (German and English)
  • Affinity to IT-based information management / reporting tools
  • Ability to clearly communicate findings within the department and in Group Risk
  • Attention to detail, thoroughness and ability to grasp new concepts quickly
  • Demonstrated ability to work indecently on quantitative and qualitative projects
  • Previous experience in business related functions (e.i. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
  • Requirement for internship and working student positions is the enrollment in a university – or (for an internship) a gap year

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with SmartNotes or a similar information / reporting management software or editorial IT tool is a plus
  • Experience in preparation of corporate narrative reportings is a plus
  • Experience in the insurance and/or risk management industry is preferred 
  • First knowledge of Solvency II regulation is a plus
