Who You'll Work With

You’ll work in our São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro office within our QuantumBlack team.

You will work with other data scientists, data engineers, machine learning engineers, designers and project managers on interdisciplinary projects using maths, stats and machine learning to derive structure and knowledge from raw data across various industry sectors.

You’ll typically work on projects across all industries and will be fully integrated with the rest of our global firm. You’ll work with colleagues from across the firm to help our clients launch agile marketing and personalization programs at scale, enabled by data and technology. You’ll have the opportunity to be a part of exciting large-scale marketing and digital transformations.

While we advocate for using the right tech for the right task, we often leverage the following technologies: Python, PySpark, SQL, Airflow, and Databricks; our own OSS called Kedro; container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes; and cloud solutions such as AWS, GCP or Azure and more!

What You'll Do

You will work in multi-disciplinary environments harnessing data to provide real-world impact for organizations globally.

In this role, you will help to design and build data pipelines to support data science projects, following software engineering best practices. You will use state of the art technologies to acquire, ingest and transform big datasets. You will help to map data fields to hypotheses and curate, wrangle and prepare data for use in advanced analytics model. You will also help to create and manage data environments in the Cloud or on premise.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering or related fields (graduated between July 2019 - December 2021)
  • Basic foundations in software engineering, Agile and Cloud computing
  • Programming skills in at least two of the following languages: SQL, Python, Scala, and Java
  • Good knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL 
  • Basic foundations in big data platforms both for batch and streaming data processing like Hadoop Ecosystem, Spark, and Kafka
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively with people at all levels in an organization
  • Ability to communicate ideas most effectively - both verbally and in writing - in English
