Who You'll Work With
You’ll work in one of our offices in Greater China as part McKinsey Digital. This group brings together the best of McKinsey’s digital capabilities to help our clients use digital technology to transform their businesses.
As part of this group, you’ll join a global team working on everything from IT modernization and strategy to agile, cloud, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. You’ll typically work on projects across all industries and functions and will be fully integrated with the rest of our global firm.
You’ll also work with colleagues from across McKinsey & Company to help our clients deliver breakthrough products, experiences, and businesses, both on technology and non-technology topics.

What You'll Do
In this role, you will:
- Work with various product teams with a focus on high application reliability, scalability and availability running in container infrastructure.
- Help develop and operate multiple complex features and components simultaneously that includes cloud adoption plans, cloud native application blueprints and cloud orchestration and monitoring.
- Focus heavily on development of reusable solutions and underlying automation.
- Play a critical role in providing technical support for day-to-day security operations, security tool integration, automation support, change management and business continuity program.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent subject
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, preferably with experience in large and medium sized DevOps projects
- Hands on DevOps experience with at least one of the major cloud providers (e.g. AWS, Azure) and private cloud
- Hands on experience in evaluating, selecting, designing, and configuring security infrastructure in a global environment
- Experience in a high-level programming/scripting language/s (e.g. Java, Python, JavaScript，Ruby, etc.)
- Good understanding and command of DevOps tools (e.g. Docker, Jenkins, Phantom, Nagios, Vagrant, Ansible, Sentry, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, etc. )
- Experience in system and software development
- Ability to build architectural solutions as infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Cloud Formation) based on Cloud native products like Lambda functions or RDS
- Strong understanding of presentation tiers (Apache, Tomcat, Nginx)
- Good understanding of standard networking protocols and components such as HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, ICMP and load balancing
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Fluent in English and Chinese
- Comfortable with traveling when required
