SUMMARY
Qualified individuals serve in the Information Technology department of the Dallas Cowboys. Candidate is responsible for the entire lifecycle of assigned projects, including resource coordination, communication and managing customer expectations. The technical project manager is ultimately responsible for the success of their projects and ensuring that the project team is completing their duties. They are also part of the PMO team that determines the governance surrounding all projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITES
- Lead and manage various technology projects with little to no daily supervision
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to understand the project needs and build corresponding project plans
- Ensure that the numerous assigned IT projects are proceeding according to timelines, established targets, and expectations for each year
- Creatively define the project pacing and obtain incremental benefits before the project is complete
- Effectively manage internal resources and third parties/vendors to ensure execution of projects by setting clear expectations and accountability
- Plan resource availability and allocation across venues and the business
- Provide project updates on a regular basis to various stakeholders
- Monitor project progress and adjust baselines as needed
- Develop and communicate project management standards, processes, and best practices
- Assist in improving the efficiency of the IT organization
- Prepare and manage documentation related to IT projects, policies, and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- 3-5 years of project management and related experience
- Knowledge of technical infrastructure and the systems development life cycle
- Proven project management skills; ability to organize and prioritize various disciplines and tasks
- Proven communication skills; both written and oral with technical, non-technical staff, and all levels of management
- Knowledge in establishing and executing the governance framework for both the constituent projects and the program itself
- Ability to explain concepts or procedures in a clear, concise, and easy-to-understand manner
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours as needed
